Inspired by the shadows kissing the snow blanket in the forest, Winter Golden Hour woven scarf is a quite gigantic wool hug painting our Canadian winters. *The golden hour is that time of the day just before the sun go down, it could be seen near the horizon and gives a flattering golden tone to photograph. It last just a few minutes while you can capture landscapes and portraits with a particular mood.
CARE: keep that scarf in a ventilated area. Spray with essential oils water mist to refresh the fibres or use a clothes steamer.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
