If you want to treat yourself with a scarf but don’t know what to choose, this is my best seller. It matches everything. I made it with the yarns I spin, the variation of colors comes from natural wool colours and some pastels hints. A very generous 98” which allows to make 2 wraps around the neck. Loosely woven to keep it fluffy.
I take photos in various outside light conditions to show different ways the scarf may appear in reality. The photo that looks closer to reality is the one with the wooden background because the light is filtered and indirect.
I dont use merino wool, Im trying to revalorise all the others breeds of sheeps less known or neglected.
Si vous voulez vous faire un cadeau mais que vous hésitez, ce foulard est mon best seller. Il va avec tout. Tissé avec la laine que je file, ses variations de blancs et gris viennent de la couleur naturelle de la laine, j’ai ajouté un peu de pastel. Un généreux 98” de long permettant d’enrouler le foulard 2 fois autour du cou. Tissé avec des jours afin de garder son moelleux.
Je photographie sous des ambiance lumineuses extérieures differentes pour montrer la variation dans la perception des couleurs dans la réalité. La photo qui a mes yeux représente le mieux les couleurs est celle avec le fond de bois brun, parce que la lumière est indirecte et tamisée (moins influencée par l’ambiance).
Je n’utilise pas de mérinos, j’essaie de revaloriser les autres races de moutons à laine qui sont mis de côté ou délaissés.

2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
