Lot of hand spun art yarns total weight 1.6 pound
mostly merino
the full blue skein is canadian fleece spun from the fleece
the block grey 2 ply thin yarn is canadian alpaca (may have trace of vm)
the rest is merino 22 microns hand spun hand dyed
no commercial roving no commercial dyed fibre
the very thin single yarn is spun with energy to ply my chunky yarns. You may want to reball it to remove some twist prior crochet or other usage than plying.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
