Hand spinning Help tutoring 1H session
You can book a 1H coaching session to solve anything regarding hand spinning.
Tutoring will be trough ZOOM. You will receive an invite and link to meet. Please be available a minimum of 5 minutes prior your appointment so we can be technically ready in time.
I would appreciate if you would message me prior booking to let me know for which subject you would need help.

-intake issues with your wheel
-drafting a specific fibre
-how to work with an art batt
-how to achieve a specific texture in your yarn
-how to achieve a balanced skein

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.

Mainly I use merino 22 micron and sometimes BFL 23-25. And lots of other fibres like tencel, silk, curly locks and mohair.
