So many times people asked me yarn to remake my Golden rose scarf. This scarf is woven (you can do a searching in my store). I have included 6 skeins that I use to make something similar. The bubbly art yarn includes is specific create to have striking texture popping in a weaving. The bubbles will transition well. Apart those two skeins of bubbly signature art yarn (the ones in the middle), the others are full of air. My scarves run heavy. Most of my plied yarns have been plied with a shiny tencel thread joined with copper rose lurex. I have not spare materials in this kit, all yarns are fine merino based infused with tencel, seacell, angelina, firestar, silk, all dyed in my studio. Total set weight 390 grams or 13.7 onces of fluff.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
