Each season I do a limited serie of fantasy felted hats. The beret is soft merino, silk, some curls and a felted rose with decorative stitching. The silk is very light reflective so colors will change a bit depending of the lighting situation.
size 23.5”very easy to wear hat.

Toque measures 23.5” inside circumference. Fits a little loose on model 21.5” head circumference.
Will fit small 22”-23” heads depending how thick is your hair.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
