From my 2022 landscape serie:
This unique felted scarf features my textures experiments. I work from wool, silk, tencel and bamboo fibres I dye, and felt using water and soap. I encourage the formation of textures.
This particular felt piece has several metal snaps strategically placed to allow you to wrap the scarf multiple ways, inside on a sweater to warm you up or outside to gives an accent to your outfit. It is warm and soft.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
