The shawl measures 76” X 20” at his widest part. Many hours were required to make the design, and more hours to felt it. It is a medium thick shawl, it is malleable. Would be perfect for a summer night out or all year long.
I dye every fibre by myself in my studio, to get those vibrants colors. I do not used commercially dyed fibres. All my felt is made from scratch, I do not use prefelt or fabrics to ease the work. Everything is layered by hand by me.
This shawl is made of merino.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
