This dress is a very special piece I am keeping since many years. It was made before I start making my own yarn. The body is crocheted, and the skirt is made of cotton english eyelet lace with a layer of cotton tulle over all tea stained. The straps themselves took a inconsiderable amount of time to do. They are made of recycled leather, 2 layers, embroidered by hand and it took forever. Some parts have silver metallic accents.
Note there is a discolouration on one of the stars on the front shoulder please see the photo price is according.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
