Another shawl I have cherished, its time to transmit the love to another heart. This is a very unique piece, the collar is felted with extreme lenght curly wool pieces hand dyed by my lovely friend Adele, she is such an inspiration to me. When I received her locks I had no choice to turn them into a special wearable art piece. The knitted base is made of a couple of skeins of art yarns spun by me, with luxurious fibres like merino, mohair, teeswater, tencel and silk. Will fit to someone with narrow shoulders. No closure, just pass it over your head and go. :)

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
