This knitted shawl is very long, it will allow many ways to wrap it. I made the tips long and thin to ease knots. We could see trough, it will suits all seasons. All my yarns and scarves have been washed and scented with lavender.
If you want to knit this shawl, a pattern will be available soon. It requires 5 skeins of 100g knitted with 9mm needles.
I don’t use merino wool, theres plenty of others sheep breeds deserving to be spin.
All my hand spun yarns and my wearables are made here in Quebec.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
