    This hooded sweater is one of the first knit clothing piece I made since I start spinning my own yarn. I used my neighbor sheep fleeces, wash it, card it, spin it and dye it with extreme knitting needles. The hood and back are hand woven. All the yarn used to make this hand woven jacket is handspun from raw fleeces. Its sleeveless, shirt not included.

     

    If you love rustic look, bulky knits, natural materials, this is for you. Wool microns are around 35-38.

    Of course, all this wool weight quite a bit...this is why the shipping cost more than my others clothing pieces. I will ship the knit jacket into a plastic bag I vacuum to reduce volume. I would gladly use your own courrier if you prefer. 

     

    SHIPPING

     

    USA knit jackets are sent via tracked packet or expedited parcel from Canada, with tracking, delivery within 4 and 10 business days. 

    For other countries be armed with patience because it will take between 1 and 2 months. I could gladly make you a quote if you want tracking.

    • HOW MANY SKEINS?
      1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
      2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
      3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
      4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
      5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
      6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
      9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
      TIPS
      Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
      NEEDLES
      I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
