A bold color full knitted and crocheted scarf all made from my hand spun yarn. I work from scratch dye all my fibres , make batts and spin. This scarf weight just a little over a pound. It is warm. I provided a felted flower brooch mounted on a long alligator pin to secure it and wear it different ways. It measures 84” X 14”. Mostly merino with tencel silk accents and wool curls.
the sleeves of the scarf allows to tie it different ways and also to wear it like a cardigan.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
