The scarf measures 62” X 12” at his widest part. The length includes the felted tails. Many hours were required to make the design, and more hours to felt it. Art yarn appliques for texture. It is not a thick heavy shawl, it is malleable. Would be perfect for a summer night out.
This shawl is made of merino. I dye all my fibres, and there is no prefelt (commercially premade felt) used in my process.
I ship once a week only

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
