Here a very large lot of hand spun yarns left overs from previous creations and custom orders. total 21.1 oz. Mostly merino with a bit of tencel seacell angelina and curls.
note that the thin ones have extra twist energy because they are used to ply my art yarns. You may want to wind them again while using a bowl to let the ball untwist a bit before using. Some are hand dyed hand spun some are spun from the batts I made. I dye all my fibre myself there’s no commercially dyed roving or yarns.
I ship once a week. Tracking is included on all orders no exceptions.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
