I made this set with left overs of my latest shawl weaving, with an underwater color palette. It includes skein of marine and teal jumbo spiral I used in my marine coral weaving (the crown part). I includes a mini skein of silk ribbon and 10oz of pulled locks. The spiral plied pink yarn is made of superwashed. The pink coral skein has silk tencel and curls accent. All merino based. I also included the teal green rose buds art yarn I used in my latest shawl. Have fun! Total 4.9 oz.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
