I am destashing a huge lot of singles I spun to ply my art yarns. Most is merino some is superwashed. Most have twist energy to ply so if you crochet them you may want to redo the ball to release some energy or work leaving the ball in a bowl . Some is spun with color transitions from my hand dyed roving some is hand dyed. All is handspun. 1040 grams.
Note this lot may not look as big as 1 kg because it is shown into tight balls. There us actually 36 onces of wool.
I am alway making my ply yarns custom for each yarn so I prefer to sell those and keep doing new ones especially for my current palette. This will keep my luggage lighter.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
