This is a step by step tutorial on how to core spin textured yarn from a batt with curls. The tutorial is divided into 13 videos between 1 min to 20 min each.
links for each videos are included in a pdf you can download after purchase. You will receive an email for downloading. If you have issues message me I will send it myself to you.
Core spinning may looks difficult, but it is an easy way to spin art yarn without worrying a lot if you yarn will break. The core act as a secure base.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.

Mainly I use merino 22 micron and sometimes BFL 23-25. And lots of other fibres like tencel, silk, curly locks and mohair.
