This unique fairy hat has been carefully hand crafted with the yarn I spin. The body of the hood is hand woven and the brim is felted. A felted flower decorates each side. The hat could be attached with the ties, which secure it from wind and allow you to wear it down.
Ce chapeau de fée unique a été fait a la main avec la laine que je file. Le corps du chapeau a été tissé et le pourtour feutré. Une fleur de feutre décore chaque côté. Le chapeau oeut être attaché grâce aux tresses, pratique en cas de rafale de vent ou pour le porter dans le dos si nécessaire.
HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
