This felted beret is made from merino. As a professional in the field with a 21” head circumference, I can attest that the beret fits perfectly on a medium size which is why I have marked it as such. The beret circumference is 23” measurement to take just above your ears were the hat sits.

1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl

6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl

Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts

I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
