This raw wooden bobbin is made to fit on the super flyer of the Kiwi 2 wheel. Perfect for plying and art yarns. Note that Ashford says this bobbin could hold up to 500 grams, but the maximum I spun on it was a bit more than 400 grams of DK weight. The more your yarn is fine and your tension high, the more yarn you will wind on it. For my big 1” art yarns, my max is 330 grams.
I suggest you keep a minimum of 3 of those, 2 for spinning singles and a third for plying. Price for 1 bobbin.

Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts

I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
