This fairy hood hat is a unique piece of wool! It won’t be duplicated. It’s a special piece because I weaved it with the first yarn I spun 3 years ago when I started my fiber journey. It was made on a vintage tapestry loom from Leclerc found in a thrift store. I added recently the felted brim and 2 wooden rings with art yarn as ties.
It measures 12.5 inches deep and 12 inches high
Each monitor display colours differently, so I included pics from outside and inside to show the difference. The overall colour is a real blue with indigo purple blue.

Chapeau de fée est une pièce de laine unique! Elle ne sera pas dupliquée. C’est une capuche bien spéciale parce que je l’ai tissée avec la première laine que j’ai filée lors du commencement de mon aventure laineuse. Je l’ai tissé sur un vieux métier à tapisserie vintage Leclerc trouvé dans un bric à brac. J’ai récemment ajouté la bordure en feutre et 2 anneaux de bois avec les tresses de art yarn pour l’attacher.
Il mesure 12.5 pouce de profond et 12 pouces de haut.
Notez que les couleurs varient d’un moniteur à l’autre, c’est pourquoi j’ai inclus des photos prises à l’extérieur et à l’intérieur. La couleurs d’ensemble est un bleu vert avec mauve indigo.

HOW MANY SKEINS?
1 skeins: mittens wrists, accents in a hat, or in weaving, needle and wet felting
2 skeins: beanie hat, texture in a knitted scarf, cowl, neck warmer
3 skeins: short knitted or woven scarf (loose)
4 skeins: long woven scarf (woven loose), knitted scarf, small woven triangular shawl, knitted shawl
5 skeins: medium woven triangular scarf, medium woven triangular shawl
6-9 skeins: medium large triangular woven shawl, knitted shawl
9 skeins and up: small medium sweater
TIPS
Alternate rows of heavy textured art yarns with single or smoother yarns, it will keep the work lighter and showcase the texture contrasts
NEEDLES
I use Prym circular needles, because they have a special tip shape helping pick up stitches of art yarns. I also use Prym ergonomic hooks, they are amazing.
